医生救死扶伤，假如有一天灾难出现,产生,形成,酿成，“陪伴病人直到最后一刻”的承诺会有几人兑现。2011年三月日本福岛核电站出现,产生,形成,酿成泄漏后，附近城镇里的居民都被疏散，福岛县双叶郡广野町上的六家医院仅剩一家仍在营业，这家医院的病人平均年龄为84岁，81岁的医院院长高野秀夫是这里唯一的一名全职医 生。腿脚不便的他夜以继日地为病人看病，每周三的例行巡检更是持续,坚守,执着,恒心了数年。他是如何坚守承诺的呢，NHK纪录片记录了这位最后站着的医生与他的病人间的故事
