本土作家葉石濤，是台灣文學領域的重量級大師。在台灣文學發展史中，他以先行者之姿，本著「台灣主體意識」前提下，率先寫出第一本有系統的台灣文學史《台灣文學
　　史綱》，不僅奠定台灣文學的地位，並成為後代台灣文學研究者的領航者。
　　在他六十餘年孜孜不倦的書寫生涯中，葉石濤經歷日治時期，以及白色恐怖的關押經驗，政治肅殺逼他低頭以小螞蟻哲學苟活於世；但對台灣作家命運的不捨與不甘心，卻
　　又鞭策著他在暗室一隅不斷與命運對抗，自稱「天譴」，永不停歇地書寫台灣以及個人的命運。
　　本片描述作家生命軌跡的同時，亦宏觀勾勒出台籍作家百年來在坎坷中奮鬥的共同命運。此外，更邀請年輕藝術家深入明白,明了,知晓,理解作家的作品後，分別以舞台劇、動畫、舞蹈劇場、落語等各式藝術表現手法，與作家的文本互相激盪出跨越時代的創作火花。

　　This film is not about the revolution that changed Ukraine this winter. Not exactly. It rather shows a universal pattern of particular kind of uprisings - those ones that end with bloodshed. At first, the noble endeavor for freedom collides with the dark force of repressive rulers. Then eventually, after much confusion and chaos, the righteous anger of people changes to pure outrage. And when the first casualties on both sides fall, no matter how black and white it seems from outside, the edge between good and bad blurs when one looks from the epicenter of a battle. And finally, all things ablaze.

　　詩人步入一黝黑甬道，石室中微光閃爍，令人如何想像，六十年前此處砲火隆隆？1959年，洛夫在金門戰火硝煙中，開始寫作《石室之死亡》，在後來的六十年，這首超現實主義代表詩作掀起台灣文壇風起雲湧。2000年，創作三千行長詩《漂木》，打開華人詩壇長詩的歷史新頁。將屆70年的創作生涯，洛夫一再突破既有格局，試煉意象的魔境。
　　本片試以「詩與戰爭」切入主軸，佐以《石室之死亡》「一首詩十行」的詩體例，以《石室》前十首詩句選段，構成全片詩意綱領；同時引用洛夫與友人書信，交叉呈現其青年、中年時代畫像。團隊追隨洛夫重訪金門坑道石室、回到湖南衡陽的鄉愁現場，更記錄移民加拿大後的洛夫日常,生存,生计,日子家常。「詩魔」的飛揚與沉潛，俱在其中。
